Our DAAD-RISE interns, Aneliese Ammirata, Hana Sato, and Quenna Yuan, attended the annual DAAD-RISE meeting in Heidelberg (July 10–12). During the event, they were able to network with researchers from various fields and gain insights into other exciting projects across a wide range of disciplines.
Three times a year, the DAAD hosts scholarship recipient meetings at various German universities to welcome international scholarship recipients and facilitate networking among them. Approximately 500 scholarship recipients from 93 countries registered for the event at Heidelberg University. The meeting thus made an important contribution to international cooperation and academic exchange.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) promotes international cooperation by funding exchange programs as part of academic and scientific internship projects.
As part of the RISE (Research Internships in Science and Engineering) Germany program, the DAAD supports and arranges research internships for bachelor’s students from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland in German research groups.
